Curiosity, passion and discovery

The primary school is structured, just like in the Italian scholastic system, in 5 class years. A class teacher (a native English speaker) teaches English, as well as Maths, Geography, History, Science and Music, providing students with language skills, familiarity with the British scholastic model and the ability to understand different viewpoints. The Italian teachers structure their program following the guidelines of the Italian Ministry of Education.
The didactic programmes of the individual school years are in line with those set forth for the corresponding classes in the State Schools.
Specialised teachers are in charge of Physical Education, Art and Religion (for those students who choose to take part).
Our Italian teachers have national teaching qualifications, while the English-speaking teachers have equivalent credentials from the Departments of Education in their native countries, which have then been officially recognised by the Italian consulate.
They collaborate together in the creation of the school’s didactic programmes, identifying the most appropriate moments for further exploration in both languages.

Starting in January 2018, H-IS Rosà begun the process to become part of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO).
